Bread Ahead is looking for an ambitious and hands-on Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operation of our Wembley restaurant. Working alongside the General Manager and Head Chef, you will help lead a busy team, deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain high operational standards and support the commercial success of the business. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced hospitality supervisor or assistant manager looking to develop their leadership career within one of London's most recognised artisan bakery and restaurant brands.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure consistently high hospitality standards.
- Lead and motivate front of house teams during service.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and team development.
- Support labour scheduling, stock control and waste management.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally.
- Monitor sales performance and help drive revenue opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Health & Safety and company policies.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation and brand execution.
- Step into a duty management role in the Restaurant Manager's absence.
Must Have:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Duty Manager or similar hospitality leadership role.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Passion for food, hospitality and exceptional customer service.
- Commercially aware with experience managing labour, sales and operational standards.
- Calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and event days.
