Strong quality and compliance processes are essential to maintaining trust, consistency, and operational excellence. At BRE, we are looking for a Quality and Compliance Coordinator to support the effective management of our quality systems, accreditation requirements, and compliance activities across the business. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting audits, maintaining management system documentation, coordinating corrective actions, and driving continual improvement. Working closely with teams across the organisation, the role contributes to ensuring BRE operates to the highest standards of quality, governance, and compliance.

The Quality and Compliance Coordinator supports the effective implementation and maintenance of quality, compliance, and governance arrangements within BRE, helping to ensure management systems, accreditation requirements, and internal procedures are consistently maintained and supported.

Key Responsibilities And Tasks
  • Maintain and support the Group Management System (GMS), ensuring documentation remains accurate, current, and accessible.
  • Support external accreditation and approval activities, including UKAS and LRQA requirements.
  • Monitor and support queries received through the Group Quality mailbox.
  • Coordinate preparation activities for internal and external assessments, audits, and governance meetings.
  • Assist with the management and tracking of non-conformities and corrective actions through to closure.
  • Maintain document control registers and support document control processes and version management.
  • Support the implementation and administration of quality and compliance processes and systems.
  • Assist with internal audits and witnessed assessment activities.
  • Support complaints, compliments, appeals, and feedback resolution processes.
  • Produce accurate meeting notes and minutes for SHEQ and governance meetings.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the wider Quality & Compliance function.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and compliance-focused activities across the business.
What We Are Looking For
  • Awareness of quality, compliance, governance, and management system principles.
  • Understanding of accurate record keeping, controlled documentation, and process adherence.
  • Knowledge of management systems and their role in supporting compliance and continual improvement.
  • Awareness of non-conformities, corrective actions, and audit processes.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, data protection, and information sensitivity requirements.
  • Interest in ISO standards and accreditation frameworks, including ISO 9001 and ISO 17000 series.
  • Awareness of accreditation and certification bodies such as UKAS and LRQA.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, or similar document management systems.
  • Ability to support audits, inspections, and compliance activities within established procedures.
  • Experience assisting with document control, version management, or quality administration activities (desirable).
  • Internal Auditor qualification or experience supporting quality audits (desirable).
  • Commitment to professionalism, collaboration, continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards within BRE.

Work Location Options: Hybrid – This role offers a mix of home and office working. You will need to be within commuting distance of our Watford office as you will be expected to attend in person (2 - 3 times per week).
