Your role at BRE

As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for providing visibility across a portfolio of electronic testing projects, ensuring milestones, timelines, risks and dependencies are effectively monitored and communicated.

This is not a hands-on testing role. Instead, you'll act as the central coordination point between laboratory teams, engineers, commercial colleagues, customers and senior stakeholders, ensuring projects remain on track and any delays or risks are identified early.

You'll play a critical role in improving project visibility, providing accurate management reporting and supporting senior leaders with the information they need to make decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and track projects from enquiry through to completion and customer handover.
• Maintain clear oversight of project plans, milestones, deliverables and dependencies.
• Produce accurate project reports, dashboards and management updates.
• Highlight project delays, risks, issues and capacity constraints, ensuring timely escalation where necessary.
• Coordinate activity across engineers, laboratory technicians, commercial teams and other stakeholders.
• Support project forecasting, performance tracking and management reporting.
• Monitor project costs, changes and key commercial milestones.
• Ensure project activities align with quality procedures, accreditation requirements and agreed standards.
• Provide senior stakeholders with clear visibility of project status and delivery performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in project reporting and governance processes.

What we are looking for

We're looking for a strong Project Manager first and foremost. Previous laboratory experience would be beneficial but is not essential.

You'll ideally bring:

• Proven experience managing projects within technical, engineering, manufacturing, product development, testing, certification or regulated environments.
• Strong project controls experience, including project planning, reporting, risk management, change control and governance.
• Experience producing management information, dashboards and performance reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Commercial awareness, including budget monitoring and project performance tracking.
• A structured and proactive approach to identifying risks, delays and delivery challenges.
• Experience working alongside technical specialists, engineers or operational teams.
• APM, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent project management qualifications would be advantageous.

Work Location Options

Hybrid – This role offers a mix of home and office working. You will need to be within commuting distance of our Watford office, as you will be expected to attend in person (3 times per week).
