As part of an exciting period of growth, we are launching an Assessment Centre intake for Technical Auditors, with the BREEAM team set to expand significantly over the next 12 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-impact, specialist team at a pivotal time in its development. We are seeking proactive, detail-orientated individuals to join our expert BREEAM team as Technical Auditors. You do not need prior auditing experience; what matters most are the key skills and background of an auditor: strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, clear communication and the ability to review evidence and apply BREEAM technical standards consistently.
All candidates will first complete an online assessment, designed to test these core skills. Successful candidates will then be invited to take part in the assessment centre, where you will have the chance to demonstrate your abilities in a practical and interactive environment.
Your role at BRE
- Conduct desktop‑based technical audits of BREEAM assessments, liaising with translators when required
- Manage personal workload and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and turnaround targets
- Provide customer support via phone, email and live chat
- Maintain accurate records and update certification databases in line with operational procedures
- Support the onboarding and training of new team members and contribute to the professional development of colleagues
- Assist the leadership team in maintaining high performance standards and improving QA processes
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the team and certification operations
Key Qualifications
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload independently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite, as well as confidence in being a quick learner for other in‑house bespoke systems

Work Location Options
This is a hybrid role, with a mix of home and office working. You will need to be within commuting distance of our Watford or Glasgow office, attending in person at least one day per week.
Our Recruitment Process
- Online Assessment: Shortly after you apply, you’ll receive an email link to complete an online assessment with a document file package attached via email. This assessment takes around 45 minutes and will help us assess your experience and skillset for this position.
- Assessment Centre: If you are successful in progressing to the Assessment Centre stage, you will need to be available on 16th June between 9.30 am‑12 pm. The Assessment Centre will be held virtually and provides an opportunity for you to showcase your skills in a practical and interactive setting.
- Onboarding: Following the Assessment Centre, successful candidates will be offered the Technical Auditor position, subject to background checks and will be expected to be available to start between the 21st July and 4th August.
