Your role at BRE:
- Carry out hands‑on modification, construction, and maintenance of HVAC test rigs across a range of disciplines, including metalwork, timber fabrication, plumbing, and electrical wiring (power, communications, and instrumentation).
- Interpret and work from technical and schematic drawings to build, adapt, and optimise test setups.
- Support the delivery of experimental and testing programmes by setting up, operating, and adjusting equipment to meet project requirements.
- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and implement practical engineering solutions to ensure reliable system performance.
- Record, analyse, and report test data, contributing to technical documentation and project outputs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and improve testing methodologies and rig capabilities.
- Maintain workshop, tools, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
What we are looking for:
- Essential practical experience and/or demonstrable practical aptitude and interest in application of scientific and engineering principles to solving practical problems.
- The test rig modifications will require the ability to work unsupervised across a very wide range of disciplines, building rigs; metalwork power, communication.
