Your role at BRE
This role will see you lead the strategic and operational management of BREEAM\βs audit and certification functions, ensuring high quality, compliant and efficient delivery across all BREEAM schemes. This role oversees a large multidisciplinary team, driving performance, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement in alignment with organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the BREEAM Delivery function, ensuring operational excellence and service quality across all certification schemes.
 - Oversee the scheduling, execution, and quality assurance of audits, ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards (e.g., UKAS, ISO frameworks).
 - Lead and manage a diverse team of operations and audit professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
 - Drive performance management, efficiency, and capacity planning to meet business targets and customer expectations.
 - Contribute to the strategic development of certification delivery, driving innovation, digital transformation, and process improvement initiatives.
 - Manage budgets, resources, and operational risk to support sustainable growth and delivery excellence.
 
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in leading large, cross functional teams within certification, auditing or related professional services environments.
 - Strong operational leadership skills with a track record of driving efficiency, performance, and service excellence.
 - Deep understanding of accreditation and compliance frameworks, including ISO management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and UKAS requirements.
 - Experience in managing complex service delivery functions with accountability for quality, timelines, and customer satisfaction.
 - Demonstrated ability to lead through change, implement process improvements, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
 - Strategic mindset with strong commercial and analytical acumen, able to balance operational priorities with long term business objectives.
 - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across internal teams and external partners.
 - A collaborative and resilient leader who fosters engagement, accountability, and a culture of excellence across diverse teams.

Work location Options
Hybrid β This role offers a mix of home and office working. You will need to be within commuting distance of our Watford office, as you will be expected to attend in person 2 3 times per week. As well as occasional travel to our Glasgow based office.
