Weβre looking for a Facilities Officer to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the BRE Garston Estate. Working as part of our wider Estates team, youβll help coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities, oversee services delivered by third-party partners, and contribute to the smooth, efficient operation of our site. Your Facilities Officer role at BRE:
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors delivering M&E, cleaning, landscaping, waste, and minor works services.
- Schedule and manage access for maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal disruption to operational areas.
- Monitor and audit completion of both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
- Support the operation of the Estates Helpdesk system, tracking and reporting on reactive tasks and performance trends.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities and contractor performance.
- Liaise with stakeholders to provide progress updates and manage expectations.
- Raise and track purchase orders for contractors and suppliers, ensuring timely approvals and payments.
- Support ad-hoc activities such as film production coordination and tenant service requests.
- Assist in ensuring contractor compliance with site rules, health and safety, and quality standards.
- Deputise for the Senior Operations Manager as required and provide flexibility for occasional out-of-hours support.
Your profile:
- Proven experience in estates operations or facilities maintenance.
- Strong understanding of building maintenance and safety standards.
- Professional, customer-focused, and an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and CAFM/Estates Management software.
- Methodical, accurate, and detail-oriented approach to work.
- (BTEC/NVQ) in facilities management, construction, or building services; technical (electrical/mechanical) qualifications desirable.
