About the Role
As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will be handling products for customers with a multi drop service. You will need a high focus on customer service, a willingness to learn and the ability to use an Epod service to obtain proof of deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle in accordance with all road traffic laws and company policies
- Complete scheduled deliveries and collections efficiently and on time
- Load and unload goods where required, ensuring cargo is secured correctly
- Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects promptly
- Complete delivery paperwork, electronic proof of delivery (POD), and vehicle records accurately
- Provide courteous and professional customer service during all deliveries and collections
- Ensure compliance with Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirements
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and present a professional image at all times
- Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding delivery progress
- Follow health and safety procedures, including manual handling guidelines
- Report accidents, incidents, or damage immediately
What We Are Looking For
- Full UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties where required
