BRC are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting vulnerable families across Torfaen. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping individuals maintain stable housing and build positive support networks within their community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting vulnerable families to maintain stable accommodation
- Managing a caseload of around 18 clients
- Working across the Vulnerable Families and Housing Support contract
- Delivering practical and compassionate support
- Undertaking needs assessments and risk assessments
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide a well-rounded support network
- Taking proactive steps to prevent tenancy breakdown
- Encouraging families to build and maintain community support networks
- Liaising with external agencies including healthcare professionals, police and social services
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience supporting vulnerable individuals within a housing or support setting. You will be compassionate, organised and confident building positive relationships while working effectively as part of a wider team.
