Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable adults and leading a team that creates real change in people’s lives? We are looking for a resilient and compassionate Team Leader to join a specialist Rough Sleeper Outreach Service supporting adults experiencing homelessness across Dorset. This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated outreach team delivering person-centred, trauma-informed support to individuals with complex needs, helping them move towards sustainable independence and improved wellbeing.
The Role
As Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of outreach services, ensuring high-quality support is provided to people who may be experiencing homelessness, mental ill-health, substance misuse, domestic abuse, or involvement with the criminal justice system. You will play a key role in motivating staff, coordinating support services, and building strong partnerships with local agencies and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support an outreach team delivering trauma-informed and strengths-based support
- Manage day-to-day service delivery and ensure high standards of care
- Build effective relationships with partner agencies and community organisations
- Support individuals with complex needs to access housing, health, and support services
- Promote positive outcomes, independence, and long-term stability for clients
- Represent the service within the local community and at partnership meetings
- Participate in an outreach rota including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and/or challenging behaviours
- Previous experience within homelessness, outreach, supported housing, mental health, or related services
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A compassionate and proactive approach to support work
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes
- Business insurance will be required for travel related to the role
