Are you a qualified Electrician, seeking a new career move in the Dorset area? My client has an immediate opportunity for an Inspection & Testing Electrician to join their busy housing maintenance team on a permanent basis. The successful applicant will carry out routine maintenance, repair and installation of electrical services and planned maintenance works to properties owned, leased and managed by the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical works in domestic, commercial and industrial buildings, this will include:
- Changing consumer units, electrical rewires, wiring upgrades, minor works, fault diagnosis and rectification.
- Wiring domestic heating controls.
- Electrical Installation work including electric heating replacements and new installation.
- Shower replacement and installation.
- Immersion element replacement including draining down of cylinder.
- Testing of all portable and fixed electrical equipment (PAT Testing).
- Complete electrical installation condition reports (EICR) and certification in accordance with IEE Wiring Regulations.
- Completion of electrical installation certificates including minor works.
- Notify Qualifying Supervisor of any urgent repairs or any Health & safety defects that are found during your work.
- To carry out works in a competent manner, to a high quality and leave property clean and tidy.
- Assist all other trades as and when required and undertake general maintenance repairs and other trade activities as required.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified Electrician.
- City and Guilds 236 (part 1 and part 2).
- City and Guilds 2382 (17/18th Edition).
- City and Guilds 2391 and 2392 inspection and testing.
