Day-to-Day Duties

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision and support to a team of Housing Support Workers.
  • Deliver psychologically informed, strengths-based support to people with complex needs including mental health, homelessness, substance misuse and offending histories.
  • Lead case reviews, reflective practice sessions and team meetings to support high-quality service delivery.
  • Manage a small caseload of complex clients where required, completing assessments, risk management plans and outcome-focused support plans.
  • Monitor service delivery, performance targets and contractual outcomes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Support staff development through coaching, supervision, training and sharing specialist knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities, healthcare professionals, housing providers, probation services and community organisations.
  • Promote recovery, independence and tenancy sustainment through person-centred support planning.
  • Contribute to service development, policy implementation and continuous quality improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports and performance data in line with organisational standards.
  • Participate in an on-call rota and provide flexible cover when required.

  • Previous experience supervising, mentoring or leading frontline support staff.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment and support planning.
  • Experience delivering outreach, floating support or housing-related support services.
  • Excellent communication and partnership-working skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across multi-agency teams.
  • A recovery-focused, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to supporting vulnerable adults.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good IT skills and experience maintaining accurate case records and reporting.
  • A commitment to equality, diversity and empowering people to achieve positive, sustainable outcomes.
