Job Title: ASB & Enforcement Officer
Type: Temporary, Full-Time
Location: Bristol / Somerset (covering Devon when required) - Hybrid Working Available
Salary: Β£20.75 paye an hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
BRC are working closely with a leading housing provider to recruit an experienced ASB & Enforcement Officer to join their Neighbourhoods team. This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional with experience in anti-social behaviour and enforcement to make a positive impact within local communities.
This role involves managing anti-social behaviour and enforcement cases, supporting customers, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to create safe, welcoming, and sustainable neighbourhoods.
Duties:
- Manage a caseload of anti-social behaviour (ASB), hate crime and nuisance cases.
- Act as the first point of contact for customers reporting ASB concerns.
- Investigate incidents and implement appropriate interventions to resolve cases effectively.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with police, local authorities and other partner agencies.
- Gather evidence, prepare legal documentation and attend court proceedings where required.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to customers and colleagues on enforcement matters.
- Promote positive neighbour relationships and support thriving communities.
- Ensure all enforcement actions are delivered professionally, consistently and in line with legislation and best practice.
- Contribute to service improvements and customer satisfaction initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience working within social housing or a related sector, ideally with a focus on anti-social behaviour.
- Experience managing challenging behaviour and resolving conflict.
- Experience working with external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Knowledge of court procedures and litigation processes.
- Demonstrable experience of improving customer satisfaction.
- Understanding of social housing legislation, policy and current best practice.
- Knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation and relevant case law.
- Knowledge of anti-social behaviour, harassment, domestic abuse and hate crime legislation.
- Experience of legal casework and quality management processes.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to meet operational and customer needs.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
