Responsibilities- Support women across the locality, enabling them to avoid crisis situations and/or a stay in refuge accommodation.
- Deliver practical and compassionate support.
- Undertake assessments of need and risk assessments.
- Work as part of a team and liaise with colleagues to provide a well‑rounded support network.
- Ensure measures are taken to prevent tenancy breakdown.
- Encourage families to create and maintain a community support network.
- Collaborate with external agencies such as healthcare professionals, police and social services.
To be successful in this community support worker position you will need to have previous experience working with individuals who have experienced domestic violence.
