BRC Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Support Officer to a well-established organisation, supporting young people who are experiencing homelessness.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced support professional to make a genuine difference.

What you will do

As a Support Officer, you will provide housing-related support to young people, helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to live independently and successfully manage their accommodation.

  • Managing a caseload of young people and providing person-centred support
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with service users
  • Supporting young people with independent living and tenancy-related skills
  • Helping individuals work towards agreed goals and positive outcomes
  • Supporting young people to maintain their accommodation
  • Liaising with partner agencies and other professionals involved in a young person's support
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and support plans
  • Identifying risks and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns

We are particularly interested in candidates who are compassionate, resilient, organised and genuinely committed to helping young people achieve positive outcomes.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a support, housing or similar role
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload and prioritise your workload
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Driver with access to a vehicle
