Are you a proactive, solutions-focused individual with a passion for preventing homelessness, reducing reoffending, and supporting people involved in Criminal Justice services to move forward? This could be the role for you.
Weโre recruiting on behalf of a leading rehabilitation and resettlement charity, commissioned by HMPPS, delivering housing-focused support across South Wales. This role covers Merthyr and Pontypridd, working closely with Probation and partner agencies to support individuals on release and in the community.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 1-2-1 housing advice and interventions
- Complete housing needs assessments and action plans
- Liaise with landlords, letting agents and local authority housing teams
- Sourcing private rented sector accommodation, including HMOs and shared housing
- Support clients to sustain tenancies and access wider support services
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of housing and welfare benefits systems
- Experience supporting adults with complex needs, homelessness or substance misuse
- Experience working with multiple disadvantage
- Ideally HMPPS Level 1 vetting or willingness to undergo vetting
