Support Worker Opportunities Cardiff

Full Time / Part Time

£13.00 to £15.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a range of experienced Support Workers to join established services across Cardiff, working with young people and vulnerable adults within community, housing, and supported accommodation settings. These roles include Youth Support Workers, Floating Support Workers, Housing Support Workers, and Supported Accommodation Workers. You will be supporting individuals with a range of needs, including homelessness, tenancy sustainment, safeguarding risks, and complex social issues. Working within a person centred and trauma informed approach, you will help individuals to build stability, achieve independence, and access the right services and support networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out needs and risk assessments and develop person centred support plans.
  • Provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable young people and adults.
  • Support individuals to maintain tenancies and prevent homelessness or crisis situations.
  • Deliver safeguarding support and work in line with policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with housing providers, local authorities, and partner agencies.
  • Promote independence, resilience, and positive long term outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to multi agency working.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within support work, youth work, housing, homelessness, or social care.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable individuals.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
  • Enhanced DBS (preferred depending on service).
