- Support Worker - Social Housing

BRC is currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to work within social housing services across Cardiff, supporting young people aged 16 to 24.
We have a variety of opportunities available, including relief work and flexible shift patterns covering days, nights, and weekends, as well as more structured 9 to 5 contracts.
- Roles and Responsibilities
- Supporting young people to maintain their tenancy and develop independent living skills.
- Providing day-to-day welfare support and completing regular checks.
- Supporting with housing-related issues, including rent, budgeting, and tenancy sustainment.
- Creating and updating support plans, risk assessments, and case notes.
- Encouraging engagement with education, employment, training, and community services.
- Supporting residents with emotional wellbeing and building confidence.
- Working alongside external agencies and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns and challenging situations.
- Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents.
- What we are looking for
- Minimum 6 months experience working in a support role.
- Experience within social housing, supported accommodation, homelessness, youth services, or similar settings.
- A valid enhanced DBS check.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- A proactive and person-centred approach to supporting young people.
