Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day running of the home.
  • Lead shifts and provide guidance and support to Residential Support Workers.
  • Promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Ensure safeguarding practices and care standards are maintained at all times.
  • Build positive relationships with young people, families, and professionals.
  • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and record keeping.
  • Act as a positive role model for both young people and staff.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a children's residential home.
  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 or Level 4 in Children's Residential Care (or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Passionate about supporting children and young people and helping them achieve positive outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Able to commit to either a 1 on 2 off or 2 on 4 off shift pattern.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding, legislation, and best practice within children's residential services.
