The Role As a Semi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in a range of mechanical engineering tasks, supporting the wider engineering team to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. The role would suit someone with hands-on mechanical experience who is keen to develop their technical abilities and take on further responsibility. Key Responsibilities * Carry out mechanical assembly, fitting and engineering tasks * Assist with the maintenance, repair and modification of machinery and equipment * Read and work from basic engineering drawings and specifications * Use a range of hand and workshop tools safely and effectively * Identify and resolve basic mechanical faults * Work as part of a team to complete engineering projects and tasks * Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment * Follow company health and safety procedures at all times About You We're looking for someone who: * Has previous experience in a mechanical engineering or workshop environment * Has a practical, hands-on approach to engineering * Is comfortable using hand and workshop tools * Can read and understand basic engineering drawings * Is reliable, hardworking and keen to learn * Works well independently and as part of a team * Takes pride in producing high-quality work Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or an engineering apprenticeship would be advantageous, but practical experience and the right attitude are equally important.
