A well-established technical training organisation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Trainer to deliver specialist training to engineers working in critical and regulated environments.
This role is ideal for a mechanically biased engineer with strong building services or plant experience who is looking to move off the tools into a stable, professional training position.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver mechanical engineering training to practising engineers and technicians
- Teach safe systems of work relating to mechanical plant and infrastructure
- Support engineers operating in hospitals, MOD facilities, and airport environments
- Deliver training related to HVAC, air filtration systems, pressure systems and mechanical services
- Ensure training materials and delivery align with current legislation and industry best practice
- Assess learner competence and provide technical mentoring and guidance
Essential Experience
- Strong mechanical engineering background (HVAC, building services, plant or process)
- Experience working in hospital environments (NHS or private healthcare)
- Exposure to MOD sites and/or airport infrastructure
- Practical knowledge of air filtration systems and critical mechanical services
- Confident communicator able to deliver technical content clearly
Desirable
- Authorised Person (Mechanical / Pressure Systems / Ventilation) experience
- Previous training, mentoring or supervisory responsibility
- Strong understanding of compliance, permits and safe systems of work
What’s on Offer
- £45,000 – £48,000 salary depending on experience
- Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm working hours
