We are recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team on a 4-on-4-off shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct mechanical maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on plant machinery (pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics).
- Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) via CMMS systems (e.g., Holistech) to ensure equipment reliability.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and carry out safe repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimise equipment performance.
- Support continuous improvement projects to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records.
- Work independently and as part of a small engineering team.
Requirements:
- Apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer (minimum Level 3) with industrial/manufacturing experience.
- Proven skills in mechanical fault-finding and diagnostics.
- Experience with pumps, hydraulics, conveyors, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of PPM systems in a production environment.
- Understanding of Health & Safety in an industrial setting.
- Strong communication skills (Level 3 English/IELTS or equivalent).
- Motivated, proactive, and adaptable to shift patterns.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
