We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our on-site engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on plant machinery (pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics).
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) using CMMS systems (e.g., Holistech) to minimise downtime.
- Respond to breakdowns efficiently, diagnosing faults and repairing/replacing parts safely.
- Collaborate with production teams to maximise equipment performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, statutory documentation, and compliance logs.
- Work independently and as part of a small engineering team.
Requirements:
- Apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer (minimum Level 3) with industrial/manufacturing experience.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostics skills.
- Experience with pumps, hydraulics, conveyors, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of PPM systems in a production environment.
- Understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities in an industrial setting.
- Strong communication skills (Level 3 English/IELTS or equivalent).
- Proactive, motivated, and flexible, with a willingness to work weekends/shifts as needed.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
