Brayleys Cars Limited, a rapidly growing and ambitious business in the automotive industry, is seeking an experienced, dynamic Sales Manager to lead our team at our Honda dealership in Orpington. You will play a key role in driving sales and overseeing the operations of a high-performing team in a dynamic, customer‑centric environment. Reporting to the Head of Business, this role offers an opportunity to be part of Honda's incredible success story – already one of the leading retail brands in the UK, with an enviable alternative fuel offering. What does a typical day involve?

  • Working on the sales floor alongside our Honda Sales execs, supporting and leading by example.
  • Motivating your team to meet sales targets.
  • Liaising with customers, both face‑to‑face, by phone/email, through social media and messaging platforms.
  • Liaising with the manufacturers’ representatives.
  • Understanding and constantly improving our customer experience.
  • Handling any customer complaints in an efficient and effective way.
  • Collating finance proposals for customers.
  • Making sure that our stock is correctly and competitively priced, delivering a great online presence.

Required Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will certainly need to have previous experience in the motor industry, but what other skills and experience would be good? Whilst brand experience is preferred, it isn’t essential. In addition to your experience, you will demonstrate the following:

  • The ability to nurture and build long lasting and trusting relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders of our business.
  • The ability to lead, support and motivate your sales team in meeting its collective goals together by example from the sales floor.
  • A calm and professional manner, making sure the business and the team comply with both our companies and our regulatory bodies processes and procedures.
