The Regional Health, Safety & Environment Advisor supports the implementation of the Group's Health, Safety and Environmental Management System across a designated geographical region. Working in partnership with General Managers, Aftersales Managers, and local leadership teams, the role provides practical advice and assurance to help maintain safe, compliant and well‑managed workplaces.
Their key responsibilities include:
- Undertake planned site visits to complete audits, inspections and compliance reviews, providing independent assurance that Company policies, statutory requirements and best practice are consistently applied.
- Monitor completion of actions from audits, inspections and risk assessments, escalating significant risks where appropriate.
- Provide day‑to‑day support and guidance to site management teams, assisting with risk assessments, accident prevention, environmental compliance and implementation of effective control measures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and environmental events, supporting managers in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Support Group-wide initiatives, promote employee involvement and encourage a culture where health, safety and environmental management is everyone's responsibility.
- Monitor compliance with statutory inspection programmes and key risk areas such as fire safety, occupational health, workshop safety, lifting equipment, asbestos, legionella, waste management and environmental controls.
- Maintain accurate records and produce regular reports to support regional performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
