The Role

We are seeking a Customer-focused Service Advisor to join Brayleys Cars Limited’s Nissan dealership in Birmingham. It’s a fast-paced environment where you will be part of the team reporting to the Service Manager. You’ll be putting your people skills to great use by guiding our customers through their service experience and ensuring they are pleased at every step.

You’ll be joining an expanding business that represents Honda Passenger Cars, Honda Motorcycles, Nissan, KIA, Mazda, Hyundai, Renault, Dacia and Suzuki across London, The Home Counties, The Thames Valley, The West Midlands and the Greater Manchester area.

With NO REQUIREMENT FOR WEEKEND WORKING, what does a typical weekday look like for one of our Service Advisors? As part of our aftersales team, you will be responsible for handling face to face, phone and email queries and converting these to workshop bookings. You will manage the end-to-end customer experience. Day to day, you will:

  • Respond to enquiries from new and existing customers who need to make use of our workshop facilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service as the face of both Brayleys and our partner vehicle brands as you guide our customers through their visit to our workshop for repairs and maintenance
  • Meet team and individual sales targets by through sales of added value products such as continuing maintenance plans
  • Manage the vehicle handover process, ensuring compliance with all processes when our customers collect their vehicles after repair
  • Adhere to Brayleys and industry regulations

If I’ve never worked as a service advisor before, what sort of background would make me great in this role? This is a question we are asked many times. A successful service advisor is someone who loves meeting people, loves helping people and loves making sure that the experience when visiting one of our businesses is truly outstanding.

You may have worked in hospitality, you may have worked in another retail role or you may be returning to work following a career break, but if you love meeting people as much as we do, we are confident that you’ll fit in really well. All of our new to Automotive Retail service advisors receive a comprehensive suite of training designed to help you become an expert in the role, throughout your first 12 months with us.
