Are you an experienced insurance professional with a passion for business development and relationship management? We're looking for a commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a leading broker network, helping members grow their businesses, strengthening insurer partnerships and identifying opportunities that deliver value for everyone involved.
You'll be responsible for managing and developing relationships with broker members and insurer partners, acting as a trusted adviser, champion and connector. If you enjoy building strong partnerships, spotting commercial opportunities and influencing business growth, we'd love to hear from you.
Due to the portfolio you will be managing, we are seeking someone located in London, particularly the North/North East of London, Essex, Hertfordshire or Suffolk.
The OpportunityAs a Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the growth and success of our member brokers by promoting insurer partnerships, facilitating business opportunities and ensuring members maximise the benefits available through the network.
You'll be the go-to contact for members and insurer partners, helping to resolve challenges, drive engagement and identify opportunities for business development and growth.

- Identifying and developing commercial opportunities that deliver value for members and partners.
- Acting as a trusted point of contact, providing support, guidance and solutions.
- Promoting the network's products, services and business opportunities to help members succeed.
- Working closely with internal teams to support member retention, development and new business growth.
- Attending meetings, events and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and expand your portfolio.
- Contributing to business improvement initiatives and supporting wider strategic projects.
We're looking for a commercially focused insurance professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities and delivering results.
You’ll Have- Insurance experience, ideally in broking, underwriting, account management or business development.
- A strong understanding of the insurance market and broker distribution channels.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop growth opportunities.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Power BI, Word and PowerPoint.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, as the role is field based and provides a car allowance.
- CII qualifications (or working towards them) and experience using broker management systems and management information tools.
