About the role

Ensure that our in-shop environment promotes Bravissimo, its products and services, using appropriate graphics, signage and POS, ensuring our customers are able to recognise who we are, what we do, and engage with our brand.

In-Store Visual Proposition, Including Customer Experience

Ensure that our in-shop environment promotes Bravissimo, its products and services, using appropriate graphics, signage and POS, ensuring our customers are able to recognise who we are, what we do, and engage with our brand.

Delivery Of Windows

Lead the implementation of all window displays in shops; working collaboratively with the Brand and Design teams, ensuring the brief is fit for purpose and elements are delivered and implemented on time and to budget.

  • Collaborating with our Brand team, create a brief for the design agency, and work to design completion, ensuring that the design works for each shops’ size, shape and location.
  • Produce all VM communication and engagement for shops, providing information on delivery and implementation.
  • Review seasonally, seeking shop and Cluster Manager feedback to maximise continuous improvement.
  • Ensure fixed windows are maintained and updated, having maximum impact and showcases our choice to the customer.
  • The overall visual presentation of all product categories in shops and through shop windows.
  • Visual Merchandising
  • Ensure shops have the necessary equipment and materials to display stock, and maximising inspiration of choice to our customers.
  • Development of layout principles to support presenting products in an inspiring way for our customers, considering continuity and seasonality.
  • Working cross functionally with Product, Merchandising, Brand, Marketing and Retail Operations to achieve business objectives through visual presentation.
  • Management of the day to day, VM guidelines, commercial view of layout following trade/ range changes and delivering an aligned visual experience in shops, parallel to ecommerce.
  • Manage an inventory of all merchandising equipment in shops to ensure we have traceability of all fixtures, fittings, and furniture.
  • Use the inventory to ensure that all shops have the right amount of any fixtures, fittings, and furniture, and that replacing / moving or fixing occurs timely, and cost effectively.
  • Lead trial VM sessions in shops, and compile instructions for stores, including information and images, to allow them to re-create and provide clarity on WGLL.
  • Leading Execution

You are responsible for providing the guideline production and overall direction to shops to ensure an inspirational, consistent, credible, and uplifting environment is created.

  • Accountability of the VM calendar to ensure VM is delivered effectively in shops.
  • Respond to shop visual queries, range changes and sell through that may impact layout and presentation.
  • Overall responsibility for producing fit for purpose visual guidelines for shops, to include new product launches, sale, and additional projects, with our customers experience at the forefront.
  • Work in collaboration with Cluster Managers, ensuring the VM vision is coached and delivered in shops, ensuring execution is signed off.
  • Work in parallel with the Retail Operations Lead, ensuring Retail Standards expectations are set for shops from back of house to shopfloor and equipment requirements are available to support delivery.
  • Regularly review customer feedback, and use it to inform your decisions, and the way you develop the retail assets, to ensure our customer’s voice is heard.
  • Regularly visit and work in our shops to understand our customer’s needs, to help inform you of improvements that can be made within the department’s remit.
  • Assist operationally in shops to build and maintain a strong relationship and understanding of our customers and their needs to inform the role you play.
  • Visual Merchandising Initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with Cluster Managers and Retail Operations Lead to deliver investment planning and set up, including new sites, re-sites, and refurbishments.
  • Develop layouts and merchandising solutions for new and existing investments.
  • Continually improve product display solutions, including fixtures, fittings, and mannequins.
  • Work with the Retail & Customer Experience Manager and Cluster Managers to ensure that following any major re-fit work (or new shop launch), the store has all required marketing and operational equipment to successfully open.
  • Direction on use and styling of all mannequins and the development of mannequin installations to support the shop environment and create product inspiration for our customers.
  • Collaborative working across the business on new initiatives including refits.
  • Budget Management & Planning

You are responsible for cost controls within the Visual Merchandising budget, achieving your goals and objectives within the required spend.

  • Working within the guidelines set by the Retail & Customer Experience Manager, build a budget to cover all visual activities and collateral required to deliver training, props and equipment to meet the business goals.
  • Review the medium and long term resource requirements to support the ongoing delivery of the Visual Merchandising department, with particular focus on new developments, sustainability and international expansion.
  • Work in collaboration with the Retail Operations Lead, Cluster Managers and UK Business Manager to ensure the VM operation supports in-store Customer Experience and efficiencies.
  • Follow Bravissimo’s budgeting and approval process.

To stay close to our customers and fully understand Bravissimo, you will spend time with our shop teams to gain a thorough knowledge and appreciation of who they are and what we offer them.

  • Train and maintain your skills as a fitter and maintain knowledge of our products and service so you can work in shops and provide a good quality service and experience to our customer.
  • Ensure you are knowledgeable about customer feedback and customer views.

Person Specification

  • Experience of leading the development and execution of visual guidelines across a retail estate.
  • A self-starter, motivated to work independently and experienced in leading projects and influencing cross functionally.
  • Experience of developing and delivering a range of design-led printed materials for marketing communications, ideally within a retail environment.
  • Understanding and appreciation of designing new and improved initiatives.
  • Experience of briefing and working with external suppliers.
  • Excellent understanding of Bravissimo and naturally customer focused.
  • Organised and conscientious and keen to take on responsibility for delivering key activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
