About the Role: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to support our clients Supply Chain Manager in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a varied, hands-on role where you will work closely with sales, production, finance, and technical teams to ensure the smooth flow of goods, services, and materials across the business. You will play a key role in purchasing, stock control, and supplier coordination, helping maintain accurate inventory levels and ensuring that materials are available to meet production and customer demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise, place, and track purchase orders for goods and services.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Support supplier sourcing activities, including obtaining and comparing quotes.
- Assist in maintaining up-to-date cost information.
- Support the monitoring of supplier performance, including quality, service, and pricing.
- Maintain supplier records and assist with onboarding new suppliers.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve issues and ensure continuity of supply.
- Maintain accurate stock records using the TROPOS system.
- Process goods in/out and manage stock adjustments.
- Support stock checks, reconciliations, and inventory accuracy.
- Assist in ensuring appropriate stock levels and replenishment.
- Ensure stock is correctly located and rotated in line with operational requirements.
- Reconcile delivery notes and invoices to ensure accuracy of stock and financial data.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Provide administrative and reporting support to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Support the tracking of ethanol movements and related reporting requirements.
- Ensure processes are followed in line with company procedures and compliance standards.
