Salary: £40,000 (Pro rata based on 30 hours a week)

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire

Monday to Friday: 6 Hours per day.

Our client is a UK-based company specialising in the distribution of chemicals and the production of premium alcoholic beverages. The company supplies solvents, specialty chemicals, and bespoke blends to a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, personal care, automotive, and manufacturing. In addition to its chemical distribution business, our client operates a premium drinks division producing and supplying high-quality spirits such as gin and vodka to both own-label and branded customers worldwide. The company focuses on quality, flexibility, and strong customer partnerships, supported by its nationwide distribution network, specialist blending capabilities, and commitment to industry standards and sustainability.

The role of the Senior HR Advisor is of critical importance as we look to grow the business and create truly exceptional places to work. The role will be the first point of contact for managers and team members, providing timely, commercially focused HR advice on routine queries that relate to matters of policy, procedure and employment law.

Responsibilities:

  • To work with managers and team members, providing them with commercially focused, compliant, HR advice and guidance on a range of people related issues.
  • To produce HR paperwork, offer letters, contract of employment templates in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that the business receives a terrific HR service and is compliant with the relevant employment legislation.
  • To work with the management team, co-ordinating recruitment activity including job adverts and interviews, as well as managing the initial short-listing of candidates.
  • To act as the in-house HR systems expert, working with clients to set up and maintain compliant employee management systems, whilst being the internal point of escalation for systems related queries.
  • To work with the management team and finance to ensure monthly payroll and quarterly bonuses are processed accurately and in a timely, organised manner.
  • To manage and co-ordinate the DBS, Credit Checks and employment references to support recruitment activities.
  • To co-ordinate induction and onboarding processes for new starters to the business, ensuring they have a seamlessly positive joining experience.
  • To work in partnership with outsourced HR provider to input into the delivery of an effective people strategy that supports the development of a great place to work.
