MiniMBA
MiniMBA was founded in 2016 by Professor Mark Ritson to make MBA-level marketing education accessible, practical and transformative, without the time or cost of a traditional two-year MBA.
It has since trained more than 40,000 marketers across dozens of countries, built a genuinely respected alumni community, and formed partnerships with organisations including ADWEEK and The Marketing Society.
2027 brings a new wave of shorter, lower-price-point course electives alongside the core programmes, opening up new buyers and a new stage of growth for the business.
The team
You'd be joining an established and successful sales team, several of whom have been part of the MiniMBA story for years, working closely alongside the Commercial Director who leads from the front.
The role
This is a newly reshaped, hands-on enterprise sales role at the heart of MiniMBA's next chapter. You'll work as the Commercial Director's right hand, an individual contributor for now with a genuine, proven route to building and leading a team once you've made the number your own.
You'll sell MiniMBA's core programmes into large, well-known organisations, with the new 2027 course electives giving you more to offer clients as the year goes on.
What you'll own
- Personally identify, pursue and close net-new enterprise relationships, engaging CMOs, marketing directors and heads of learning and development at large organisations.
- Build a healthy mix of business across MiniMBA's core programmes and the new course electives launching through 2027.
- Bring genuine sales rigour to every deal you close and build a pipeline that can stand up to real scrutiny across a considered, enterprise-length sales cycle.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Commercial Director to help shape a repeatable enterprise new-business motion: where to focus, how to position, how to convert.
- Be involved in some of the biggest, most recognisable brands MiniMBA works with, and represent the business at events and in the room, not just on the phone.
What we're looking for
- A track record selling courses, training or a comparable product into marketing functions, comfortable engaging CMOs and heads of learning and development.
- A genuine, verified network among senior marketing budget holders who could buy business education at this level.
- Consistent quota attainment over a sustained period, with a clear account of how you've handled a ramp period before.
- Disciplined pipeline management: structured, well-qualified, and able to hold up under close questioning across a long sales cycle.
- A commercially driven hunter who wants to be out and about, at events and in front of major brands, not managing a team just yet.
Nice to have
- Experience closing deals in the £500,000 to £1 million range, with sales cycles of eight to nine months.
- A background at a company with a similar customer profile to MiniMBA's, selling into senior marketing or L&D audiences.
- A genuine point of view on marketing, and a collaborative style suited to working with an established, largely remote sales team.
- An ambition to grow into a Head of Sales role, leading a team, within a couple of years.
Why this role matters
Enterprise revenue is the fastest-growing part of MiniMBA's plan for 2027 and beyond, and this hire sits right at the centre of it. You'll work directly with the Commercial Director from day one, with a clear, honest path to building and eventually leading a team once you've proved the number as an individual contributor.
