An established CQC-registered provider in Surrey is looking for an experienced quality and compliance professional to lead its medication governance workstream on an interim basis. Immediate start, with the booking guaranteed for an initial three months.
This is a role for someone who has operated at manager level in adult social care, a service manager, deputy, area or quality manager, who knows what good medication practice looks like across residential services and has the standing to hold managers and senior staff to it constructively. The providers systems are established and working; the job is assurance and strengthening, not rescue.
What you’d own:
- The medication audit programme across several residential services, including digital MAR record reviews
- Monthly reporting into the quality and compliance lead, drawing out themes and priorities
- Medication incident reviews and root cause analysis, with action plans followed through to completion
- National medication safety alert monitoring and escalation where practice slips
- Coaching service managers and senior staff so medication safety is owned locally
- Refresher training delivery across the services, and wider compliance audit involvement
Who it suits:
- Manager-level experience in a CQC regulated adult social care setting, residential, nursing or supported living
- Hands-on audit experience: you complete audits and write the findings up, rather than commissioning them
- Credible and comfortable giving supportive challenge to established managers and teams
- Registered managers, deputies, area and regional managers, quality and compliance managers, and clinical leads with a medication governance background all fit well
The practical side:
- Full time, Monday to Friday, onsite
- Easily reached from Guildford, Godalming, Woking, Farnham, Aldershot and Haslemere
- Interim engagement via umbrella, weekly pay, immediate start
Please note: candidates must hold an Enhanced DBS (adult workforce) issued within the last three years, or be registered on the DBS Update Service.
