Brava Education is working with an independent specialist school, within easy reach of Birmingham, Worcester and Redditch, to appoint a permanent Headteacher.
The role
This is a hands-on headship for a leader who enjoys being visible in school as well as setting direction. You will:
- set the vision and culture of the school, and lead its improvement
- lead the curriculum, with clear pathways for each young person
- oversee SEND, safeguarding and pastoral provision
- manage staffing, budget and compliance with the Independent School Standards
- work with families, local authorities and a wider multidisciplinary team
You will have the backing of an experienced regional leadership team and central support for HR, finance and recruitment.
About you
- QTS, with NPQH or equivalent
- Senior leadership experience in a special school or complex setting
- Strong knowledge of the Independent School Standards and of safeguarding
- Experience of leading SEND provision with multidisciplinary teams
- A clear, evidenced record of school improvement
- Experience of opening, establishing or growing a school or provision would be a real advantage
Terms
Full time and permanent. Salary up to £75,000, depending on experience. The start date is flexible for the right candidate.
