Brava Education is working with an independent specialist school, within easy reach of Birmingham, Worcester and Redditch, to appoint a permanent Headteacher. The school supports young people with autism and a range of complex needs. It has a strong record and an ambitious plan for its next stage of growth. The new Headteacher will play a central part in shaping what the school becomes. The role This is a hands-on headship for a leader who enjoys being visible in school as well as setting direction. You will: * set the vision and culture of the school, and lead its improvement * lead the curriculum, with clear pathways for each young person * oversee SEND, safeguarding and pastoral provision * manage staffing, budget and compliance with the Independent School Standards * work with families, local authorities and a wider multidisciplinary team You will have the backing of an experienced regional leadership team and central support for HR, finance and recruitment. About you * QTS, with NPQH or equivalent * Senior leadership experience in a special school or complex setting * Strong knowledge of the Independent School Standards and of safeguarding * Experience of leading SEND provision with multidisciplinary teams * A clear, evidenced record of school improvement * Experience of opening, establishing or growing a school or provision would be a real advantage Terms Full time and permanent. Salary up to £75,000, depending on experience. The start date is flexible for the right candidate.
