Salary: Up to GBP35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:45pm (Friday finish at 4:30pm)

Location: Sidcup office and site-based (approximately 50/50 split)

Our client is looking for a proactive and organised assistant contracts manager to support the delivery of live projects across both office and site environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in contracts or project management within a supportive and hands-on team. The role will be split approximately 50% office-based and 50% site-based, offering real variety and exposure to all aspects of project delivery. Full training will be provided where required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Office-Based Duties
  • Handling telephone calls and emails with clients, operatives, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Booking in jobs and assisting with programmes of works
  • Preparing quotes for clients following site visits (training provided)
  • Ordering materials and coordinating deliveries
  • Assisting Contracts Managers with the day-to-day administration of live projects
  • Updating project trackers, reports and internal systems (training provided)
  • Assisting with health & safety documentation, including RAMS and compliance records
  • Site-Based Duties
    • Driving to site to meet operatives and clients
    • Attending site visits and carrying out site surveys
    • Supporting Site Managers and Contracts Managers on live projects
    • Monitoring progress against programme and reporting back to the office
    • Liaising with operatives and subcontractors on site
    • Assisting with health & safety requirements on site, including basic inspections
    About You
    • Well organised with strong communication skills
    • Comfortable working both in an office environment and on construction sites
    • Confident dealing with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
    • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
    • IT literate with a willingness to learn new systems
    • A full UK driving licence is essential
