This role is responsible for ensuring the master data is managed and maintained to an exemplary standard to ensure operational effectiveness for the department and wider Henry Schein supply chain. The role holder will be tasked with managing the data sets and liaising with the wider business teams, therefore confidence in utilising Excel, particularly for reviewing and analysing large datasets, is a must. The Master Data Gatekeepers work in a small team, supporting a busy and fast paced department, and are highly organised, juggling information on our 200+ suppliers simultaneously, whilst managing several tasks in parallel to effectively support the wider team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure new items are created and maintained according to Item Master documentation including all regulatory and statutory reporting requirements
  • Maintain Supplier Catalogue Prices via Supplier Price Lists, conducting costs analyses where required
  • Produce and circulate price change reports
  • Review and resolve Price Queries raised by Accounts Payable where there are variances between purchase order and price list
  • Add new vendors and maintain vendor data changes e.g. bank details following the appropriate approval processes
  • Undertake Sarbanes Oxley quarterly testing. Participate in internal and external audit procedures when required
  • Maintain MHRA compliance and our pharmaceutical process.
  • Maintain SDS and COSHH documentation
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required
  • This role is extremely varied; therefore, the job description is not exhaustive, and the role holder will be required to participate in other duties as required by the business.

Job Skills & Experience Required:

  • Qualifications: Good standard of secondary education to GCSE/NVQ level. Accreditation on the Microsoft Office package suite desirable.
  • Skill & Experience: Computer literate, with intermediate knowledge of the wider MS Office package. Above average experience and competence working with Excel. Familiarity with JD Edwards or a similar ERP package desirable, but not a requirement. Comfortable acting as a point of contact for multiple business areas and experience building relationships of this nature in a professional setting. Experience working within an office or similar professional environment. Knowledge of purchasing teams desirable, but not a requirement. Experience working with large and complex data sets an advantage.
