About Us
Brar & Co. Limited is a well-established law firm based in Newcastle upon Tyne, providing high-quality legal services to businesses and private individuals across a range of practice areas. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an ambitious and motivated Solicitor to join our Dispute Resolution Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with 1–3 years' PQE looking to broaden their experience across a varied caseload while working closely with and being supervised by the Managing Director.
The Role
You will assist in managing a broad range of contentious matters, including:
- Commercial and residential property disputes;
- Partnership disputes;
- TOLATA disputes;
- Professional negligence claims;
- Inheritance and IPFDA claims;
- Contractual disputes.
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, appropriate to your level of experience, whilst receiving supervision and support on more complex matters. The successful candidate will also assist with litigation strategy, drafting court documents, conducting legal research, liaising with clients and third parties, and attending Court where appropriate.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 1–3 years' PQE;
- Have experience in general dispute resolution and civil litigation;
- Demonstrate excellent drafting, analytical and organizational skills;
- Be capable of managing a varied caseload with appropriate supervision;
- Possess strong client care and communication skills;
- Be commercially aware and committed to delivering practical legal advice;
- Be a proactive team player with a positive and professional approach.
Advocacy experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
