Our client, a prominent law firm based in Essex, is seeking a skilled Tax & Trusts Advisor to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the firm's ongoing success and commitment to providing exceptional service to their clients.

Position Overview

The Tax & Trusts Advisor will play a crucial role in administering trusts, preparing tax returns, and providing ad hoc tax computations. This position is integral to ensuring the firm's clients receive accurate and timely support in managing their tax and trust matters.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake trust administration and related tax filing
  • Complete Personal and Trust Tax Returns
  • Prepare and submit SA900 Tax Returns for Estate Administration periods
  • Draft basic Trust documents including Resolutions, Minutes, and Deeds of Appointment
  • Navigate HMRC's Trust Registration Service as needed
  • Prepare and maintain annual Trust Accounts
  • Liaise with Brokers, Accountants, Beneficiaries, Trustees, and Financial Advisers
  • Provide ad-hoc tax computations for CGT, IHT, and Income Tax

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Tax & Trust Administration
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Eagerness to develop and expand skills and knowledge
  • Balanced combination of technical proficiency and commercial awareness
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • IT proficiency to effectively carry out responsibilities
