Our client is a very successful legal firm with multiple offices covering a broad range of legal matters and we are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join the accounting team to ensure the smooth running of financial matters. The role comes with support of an Assistant and the department has very good processes in place, to enable you to manage and take responsibility for:
- Day to day transactions in and out
- Fee earners billings
- VAT Returns
- Bank reconciliations
- Accounts duties and SRA requirements
- Payroll
The position will incorporate cash flow calculations, liaison with the Bank and an understanding of tax/NI via SAGE for the payroll. This is a busy role and will suit someone who is used to working towards tight deadlines and can plan and be highly organised.
To be considered for this role, you will have worked in a similar environment for a legal firm, understand SRA compliance and be a collaborative and effective communicator with fee earners to understand their billings, targets, invoicing and debt recovery issues.
