We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils and teaching staff to help create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
- Work with individual pupils or small groups to support their learning, development and engagement.
- Assist in implementing behaviour strategies that support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Help create and maintain a safe, structured and positive learning environment.
- Contribute to monitoring pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and wider staff team.
Key Requirements
- Experience of working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
- An understanding of, or interest in, supporting pupils with SEMH needs and additional learning needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Patience, resilience and the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
- A positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
