We are seeking a detail-driven, forward-thinking Maintenance Plumber to join our permanent engineering team in Newcastle. Key Responsibilities & Operational Impact
- Commercial Systems Upkeep: Execute day-to-day reactive repairs, diagnostic fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across high-pressure cold and hot water systems, drainage networks, and commercial building facilities.
- Plant Room Operations: Monitor and maintain central heating arrays, booster sets, thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs), and large-scale mechanical pipework loops.
- Compliance Testing: Take ownership of statutory safety logs, including routine Legionella water-hygiene monitoring and temperature tracking across the estate register.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent time-served city & guilds plumbing credentials).
- Experience: Proven track record working within commercial facilities, heavy industrial properties, social housing maintenance, or multi-site estate environments.
- Mindset: A proactive problem solver who prioritises Health & Safety, values accuracy, and takes pride in a "right first-time" approach to building fabric and asset care.
