This is a rare opportunity to join a growing team that prioritises work-life balance offering a no call-out contract while providing consistent opportunities for overtime.
This is a varied, mobile role requiring an engineer who is fully site-ready for a variety of environments. While the core of the work is in the North East, you will be expected to travel further afield to sites across Yorkshire and up to the Scottish Central Belt as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial FM Delivery: Executing planned (PPM) and reactive maintenance within live commercial environments, including offices, hubs, and educational campuses.
- Education Sector Maintenance: Ensuring electrical safety and operational uptime for schools, colleges, and university campuses.
- Specialist Systems: Servicing and testing Generator Systems and emergency backup power solutions.
- General Electrics: Maintenance of lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, and small works installations.
- Compliance: Executing tasks to 18th Edition standards, ensuring all documentation and site reports are completed accurately.
The Requirements
- Experience in commercial buildings maintenance is essential for this position. We are looking for a technically sound electrician who understands the pace and compliance requirements of the Facilities Management (FM) sector.
- Technical Experience: Proven track record in Commercial Buildings Maintenance. You must be comfortable working around clients in live environments.
- Qualifications: City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent).
- Compliance: 18th Edition (BS 7671) is mandatory.
- Technical Niche: Proven experience and competency in the maintenance and testing of Generator Systems.
- Flexibility: A full UK Driving License and a willingness to travel across the North East, Yorkshire, and Scotland.
