We’re working with one of the UK’s leading college groups to recruit a motivated and learner-focused Advanced Technical Lecturer in Electrical Installation. This is an opportunity to step out of industry and make a genuine impact — teaching the next generation of electricians across Levels 1–3.
What you’ll do:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons across Electrical Installation programmes
- Create engaging learning materials tailored to diverse learner needs
- Deliver both theory and practical sessions
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to support learner progress
- Support learners through tutorials, pastoral guidance and progress reviews
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement
- Keep curriculum content current and aligned with industry standards
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and health & safety
What we’re looking for:
- Essential (or willing to work towards):
- Level 3 Electrical Installation (or higher)
- Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent)
- AM2 or equivalent occupational competence
- Assessor qualification (CAVA/TAQA/A1) or willingness to complete
- Level 2 English & Maths (or willingness to achieve)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to deliver inclusive, engaging teaching
- Desirable:
- Teaching qualification (AET/DET/PGCE)
- IQA qualification (V1/IQA Award)
- Experience teaching in FE or training apprentices
