Joining a busy, high-energy mobile team, you will be the lead technician for a wide range of domestic gas and electrical appliances across a diverse North East portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Multi-Brand Repairs: Diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of domestic appliances, including gas cookers, range ovens, hobs, and integrated electrical goods.
- Gas Safety & Servicing: Carrying out annual safety checks and performance tuning on gas-fired appliances to ensure 100% statutory compliance.
- Fault-Finding: Using your electrical and mechanical knowledge to solve intermittent faults.
- Technical Growth: Acting as the "Domestic Expert" while training alongside Senior Commercial Engineers to learn the ropes of large-scale catering and heating plant.
- Customer Excellence: Providing professional, clear advice to clients on appliance care, energy efficiency, and safety.
The Requirements:
- Qualifications: Current ACS Domestic Gas tickets (CCN1 & CKR1) are desired, not essential.
- Technical Skills: Proven experience in the repair of domestic appliances (washing machines, dryers, dishwashers) with a specific focus on Gas Cooking Appliances.
- Electrical Competency: Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
- Ambition: A clear desire to progress into Commercial Catering (COMCAT) or Commercial Gas (COCN1). We provide the funding and the mentorship; you provide the drive.
