Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor Location: North East (Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham & Surrounding Areas) Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 + Company Vehicle + Benefits Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 Overview: A respected building services and maintenance contractor is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor with strong HVAC experience to oversee a small team of engineers across commercial installation and maintenance projects. Based in the North East, the successful candidate will take the lead on supervising day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth delivery of both minor works and planned maintenance activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HVAC engineer or foreman looking to step up into a management role. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise a small team of HVAC/mechanical engineers delivering commercial projects and maintenance works * Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards * Act as the main point of contact for clients, engineers, and subcontractors * Plan, coordinate, and monitor progress on installations and refurbishments * Conduct site audits, toolbox talks, and ensure RAMS are followed * Assist in ordering materials, organising labour, and ensuring works are completed on time and within budget * Provide technical support and mentoring to junior staff where required Experience & Skills: * Proven experience in HVAC/mechanical supervision or team leadership * Background in commercial mechanical systems (e.g., heating, chilled water, ventilation, pipework) * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or similar * Full UK driving licence (essential) * Strong communication and organisational skills * Ability to manage both project delivery and maintenance works Benefits Package: * £42,000 – £48,000 basic salary * Company vehicle and fuel card * Pension scheme * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Overtime opportunities * Training and progression opportunities
