We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Facilities Manager to join a well-established organisation, supporting the day-to-day management of a varied estate of both modern and historic buildings. This is an excellent opportunity to join a wider regional facilities team, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site, overseeing a small in-house team of maintenance operatives while coordinating external contractors as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and supporting a small team of in-house maintenance operatives
  • Coordinating and supervising contractors on site
  • Ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is completed efficiently
  • Supporting compliance across health & safety and statutory requirements
  • Assisting with the management of both older and modern building assets
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and the wider regional FM team
  • Monitoring works to ensure quality and standards are maintained
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in a Facilities Management or Assistant FM role
  • Experience managing or supervising maintenance teams
  • Strong understanding of building maintenance and compliance
  • Confident liaising with contractors and stakeholders
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Good communication and leadership skills
Requirements
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable)
