Branta is seeking an experienced Head of Estates to lead day-to-day operations and facilities management across a multi-site portfolio in the North East. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will manage an in-house team and external contractors to ensure operational availability, strict statutory compliance, high safety standards, and effective budget control.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational Leadership: Ensure all sites and facilities remain fully operational, safe, and available for daily use.
- Statutory Compliance: Manage compliance across key assets, including asbestos, Legionella, M&E systems, fire safety, lifts, and drainage.
- Team & Contractor Management: Direct and mentor in-house maintenance teams while procuring and managing external soft/hard service contractors (cleaning, security, grounds, specialist M&E).
- PPM & Environmental Standards: Implement consistent Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules, manage environmental/waste guidelines, and drive sustainability initiatives.
- Budget & Commercial Control: Manage operational budgets, prioritize maintenance based on risk, and oversee CAFM helpdesk performance.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong track record in a senior Estates, Facilities, or Operations Manager role across multi-site properties.
- Comprehensive knowledge of statutory compliance, health & safety legislation.
