Branta Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to work on a static site in Chester, supporting the day-to-day maintenance of a well-maintained commercial building. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, established facilities management provider with long-term contracts and clear standards.

The Role

As a Fabric Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive fabric maintenance and minor repairs across the site. The role suits a practical, hands-on individual who takes pride in quality workmanship and can turn their hand to a variety of basic building maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • General fabric maintenance and repairs
  • Minor works to floors, walls, ceilings, doors, and fixtures
  • Basic plumbing repairs (leaks, taps, toilets, pipework)
  • Basic electrical tasks (lamp changes, socket fronts, visual checks – no testing)
  • Joinery works including doors, locks, hinges, and fittings
  • Painting, patch repairs, and cosmetic works
  • Responding to reactive maintenance requests and completing PPMs
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard

About You

  • Background in joinery, plumbing, or general building maintenance
  • Comfortable carrying out basic multi-trade tasks
  • Practical, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Basic understanding of health & safety in a facilities environment
