Overview
The Opportunity
Are you a senior electrical professional looking for a role that combines technical leadership with strategic business growth? On behalf of a leading M&E service provider, Branta Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Manager to lead a dedicated team of 15 engineers across a diverse commercial portfolio. This is a "dual-impact" role: you will be the technical heartbeat for your field team and the strategic face of the business for our clients. With a remit to grow the division, this is a career-defining move for an ambitious manager who wants to build a department in their own image.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Direct management of 15 Electrical Engineers, focusing on performance, technical development, and safety standards.
- Technical Support: Acting as the "Qualifying Supervisor" (NICEIC/ECA) and providing high-level technical guidance on complex commercial faults.
- Client Lead: Managing relationships with both blue-chip end users and major FM providers. You will be the primary point of contact for service delivery and contract reviews.
- Growth & Strategy: Identifying opportunities for "pull-through" project work, assisting with tenders, and scaling the division through effective recruitment and retention.
- Commercial Oversight: Ensuring the profitability of your contracts, managing KPIs, and overseeing technical compliance across all sites.
What We’re Looking For
We need a leader who commands respect through their expertise and inspires confidence through their commercial acumen.
Qualifications
- Fully Qualified: Level 3 NVQ (Electrical) + 18th Edition.
- Leadership Pedigree: Proven experience managing a team of 10+ mobile engineers within a commercial FM environment.
- Stakeholder Management: Comfortable presenting to clients and navigating the complexities of working as a subcontractor to major FM firms.
What’s In It For You?
- The Mandate to Grow: You won’t just be "keeping the seat warm"; you will have the backing to expand the team and take on larger contracts.
- Supportive Infrastructure: Access to a full back-office team, allowing you to focus on engineering excellence and client relationships.
- Package: Competitive basic salary, performance-related bonuses, and a high-spec vehicle/allowance package.
