Location: Mobile across Greater Manchester

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience)

Van + Fuel Card + Overtime + Call-Out + Company Benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

The Opportunity: Branta Recruitment is working with a reputable Facilities Services provider to recruit a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer for a mobile role across the Greater Manchester area. You’ll be responsible for the service, maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial gas systems in buildings such as schools, healthcare sites, offices, retail, and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will be ACS-certified, self-sufficient, and experienced in delivering high-quality work across a range of commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain commercial gas boilers and heating systems
  • Carry out fault diagnosis, reactive repairs, and installation works
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and compliance checks
  • Complete documentation and safety certificates in line with industry standards
  • Work across various sites including schools, offices, and healthcare environments
  • Be part of a call-out rota (additional pay provided)

Requirements:

  • ACS Commercial Gas qualifications, such as:
  • CODNCO1 or COCN1
  • CIGA1, CDGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A
  • Proven experience in a commercial gas engineering role
  • Excellent understanding of gas safety regulations and PPM regimes
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence – essential
  • Additional HVAC or plumbing skills – desirable
